1932 Hupmobile Inherited Hup - 1932 Hupmobile - When Joe W. inherited his ‘32 Hupmobile Model B Roadster, he inherited much more than just a car. Wayne, his father, had loved cars and had a small collection of some very rare ones. The ‘32 Hupmobile is one of six known roadsters of that year still in existence, spread as far afield as England and Australia. His father bought it in 1987.
1953 Studebaker 1953 Studebaker Commander - Jack was not particularly a Studebaker fan when he got his ‘53 Commander two-door hardtop coupe about twenty years ago. He took it in partial payment for a debt and the car was in rough condition, needing a lot of work. In the process, Jack has become very well versed on Studebakers and the story of the Commander.
1951 Studebaker It's a Gasser - 1951 Studebaker Pick up - Having done some drag racing in his younger days, he always had a fondness for those gas-burning (as opposed to nitro) quarter-mile racers. So when he saw a flyer in 2007 for of a Studie pickup that had once been drag racer, he went to check it out. Actually, wife Donna sent him to look at it, saying he should buy it if it was red and had pretty wheels.
1930 Packard Packard's Progress - 1930 Packard - After looking at two-thirds of the creations, Dave came upon a 1930 Packard 726 Sedan owned by Wayne Johnston of Napa. This car just ‘flipped his switch’ and nothing else compared. Call me crazy, but this was love at first sight. My search for my own 726 was on.
1957 Studebaker Solid Gold - 1957 Studebaker - The Nifty Fifties had a number of distinctive cars, some known for unique styling and some known for being the performance cars of their era. It is hard to think of one that exemplifies both schools better than the Studebaker Golden Hawk.
1959 Desoto Orphan Survivor - 1959 Desoto Fireflite- One thing is for sure, Jim likes orphans, those make of cars that are no longer produced. He owns a Studebaker and two Desotos, both of which ceased production in the early Sixties. His ‘59 Desoto Fireflite four-door sedan is also a survivor, a car that has not been restored and still is on the road. The only changes he had made were to add air conditioning and change the air cleaner.
