Don's First Custom Car
...and his 15 Minutes of Infamy

My daughter ran across this photo of my high school sweetheart. Yes, It’s a 1950 Ford Business Coupe Custom. I did a great deal of the work while in my Sophomore and Junior
year. Some of the mods include:
• Frenched head and tail lights
• Decked front and rear
• ’54 Pontiac grill and rear fender skirts
The interior was black & white naugahide pattern.
This photo was taken for the school paper at Menlo-Atherton H.S. in 1955. Check out the guy with hair and blue suede shoes!

Palo Alto Times Newspaper
In Winter of 1955.

In other actions, Judge Myers fined two 18-year-olds $50 apiece for a speed race in the 3600 block of El Camino Real Dec. 20 in Palo Alto.
