Thank You -- Thank You Kathy, Jean, Terry, Mike and their Committee. **Wonderful job on our 50th Roamin Angel Celebration** We have a great Car Club. Thank you again. – Richard and Patti G.

After the presentation of the award to Riebes (accepted by Jay Cooper), the club's president, Terry Edwards, announced the former club presidents in attendance and had them come up to the podium one at a time.

First club president and original member, Lanny N., came up and kept his speech short and sweet. Ron C. came up and discussed briefly his 7 years in that position and gave accolades to his predecessor for his encouragement and support. This led into his introduction (and my favorite part of the 50th Anniversary party) and the well deserved standing ovation for Ray Y., our club president for 12 years.

The response of the club affected Ray who was slightly overwhelmed as he made his way, stopping to shake hands and accept hugs, to the podium. Once the applause died down, Ray composed himself and started discussing his tenure as president of the club. He talked about the smaller number of members meeting at Humpty Dumpty, the first car shows at Rollins Lake and at the KMart Shopping Center. He reminiscence about the first newsletters, first women members - Rose and Clare and their part in the club. He talked about what it meant to be a Roamin Angel and how the love of old cars was the common thread that ran between all of us. It was a good reminder of where we've come from.

The decorations, picture slideshow and dinner all contributed to the celebration and the organizers did a good job but to me, the best part of the event was Ray's drive down Memory Lane...Thank you Ray.
