Why it is important to distribute our 2008 'Goldenrod' car show applications outside of our immediate area? Each year we print approximately 14,000 copies for distribution, but it takes club members to be willing to help do the leg work.

The following is a detailed geographical breakdown of the 652 paid participants (club members not included) from our 2007 car show.
1. 372 = Within a one hour drive of Grass Valley (57%) including Yuba City to Sacramento to Auburn.
2. 280 = Beyond a one hour drive of Grass Valley (43%)

- 29 = Tracy, Livermore, Antioch
- 26 = Stockton, Lodi, Modesto
- 26 = San Francisco, San Mateo, San Jose

- 20 = Chico, Red Bluff, Redding
- 9 = Monterey, Salinas, Watsonville
- 5 = Vacaville, Vallejo, Benicia
Outside of Northern California
- 20 = Reno/Sparks, Carson City
- 4 = Bakersfield, Fresno
- 4 = Southern California
- 3 = Oregon
- 1 = Southern Nevada
- 1 = Utah

If you know you're going outside of our area and you know of any speed shops or automotive related businesses, take a few applications and drop them off. We have a supply of applications available at the Breakfast Cafe or call Dick Teague at (530) 432-2600.

Note: Most of the 280 participants no doubt spend 1 or 2 nights of lodging in our immediate area, which adds a significant amount of revenue into our local economy.
