A Big Thank You For All Who Attended the 2011 Christmas Party by Nancy J.
I would like to say "thank you" to all that attended the Roamin Angels Christmas Party. Lots of members expressed how much they enjoyed the choir, the food, the band and the beautiful decorations that Alta Sierra Country Club provides each year.
The Choir lead by Kelly C. was superb as usual. Each year Kelly and Ron take Christmas songs and change them into funny "Car & Car Club" songs. Every year the songs get better and better. Thanks to all members for taking their time to practice and sing in the Choir. Thank you again Kelly and Ron for making us laugh.
Thank you John K. for providing the Invocation each year. And thank you George P. for going early to the Alta Sierra Country Club each year to provide and set-up the Sound System. You volunteer each year without being asked. I would like to thank my Christmas Committee: Glenda A., Bev G., and Margie M. for taking several hours to make the table arrangements, which were boxes wrapped in beautiful Christmas paper with a gigantic bow. Thanks to Sheila & Thane A. for your help bring in the wine and door prizes and putting them in order. Also, thank you Ron C. for taking over the "MC" role as Terry E. was ill with the flu.
Ron also presented "Service Awards" to: George ., Glenda A., John K., Kelly C., George M.r, Karin R. and myself. Also, given awards but not in attendance were Pat G., Chuck F. and Doreen F.. These three will receive their awards soon.
We missed Dave and Brenda C. and Danny and Nikki G. at this year's Christmas Party, as Dave is recovering from surgery and Danny had an accident. Everyone wishes both families a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
