Well we're about two weeks away from our next meeting of the ACCC Board of Directors at the Grand National Roadster Show in Pomona Saturday, January 28th. The ACCC will have an information booth set-up at the show to answer all questions regarding the ACCC, the Car Hobby, and legislation that may be harmful to the California Car Hobby.
I wanted to send out a reminder that we are currently running a 40th Anniversary Membership Special which is "Two For Forty" or two years membership for $40.00, a savings of $10.00; or two individual memberships for one year at $40.00 also a savings of $10.00. We also are offering a "Five Year Membership Package" for $100.00, saving $25.00 off the regular membership fee. Pass the word to all car guys and car gals…this 11111111111s
The 62nd Annual Sacramento Autorama is coming up next month. The ACCC will be hosting the return of "The Clubhouse" and will have an Information Booth at the Sacramento Autorama Pavilion Building Friday February 17th through Sunday February -19th, 2012. I just spoke with Butch Gardner, Clubhouse Show Manager, and he mentioned that the Clubhouse is full with over 220 cars. Contact Butch Gardner at 530-677-4761 for more information. In the meantime get ready for one of the biggest "Indoor Cruise-Ins" Sacramento has seen in many years!
Well January is here and now is the time that we all must be alert and vigilant to any legislation, regulations, additional taxes, fees, etc. coming in from the Capitol. It's that time of year when the legislation starts coming down the pipe and we all need to be on guard. Once again I want to encourage you all to be pro-active, contact your elected representatives and let them know how important it is to "Save Our Cars". Keep a sharp eye out and let me or one of the ACCC Directors know if you see or hear of any legislation or regulations that may be harmful to the hobby.
Registration Forms are available for the 26th Annual Spring Legislative Conference coming up Friday & Saturday March 16-17, 2012 at the California Auto Museum. You won't want to miss this event!
