Big Springs Gardens

52 happy, Roamin Angels, families and friends, set off on a beautiful, cool morning to Big Springs Gardens. We had lots of new members, and members who have gone for the past six years we have been doing this cruise, to enjoy the last year the gardens will be open. The weather was perfect for 'tops down'. After a short stop in Downieville, we continued up to Sierra City, where the hillside was in full bloom with wild flowers. There was lots of water in the river, and everything was lush, and green. A parking attendant greeted us at the entrance to the gardens, where we had our own car show. The pond was 'boiling' with huge trout, enjoying all the food everyone was feeding them. You've never seen such fat fish! The walk around the pond to the eating area was covered with all kinds of flowers. Everyone seemed to enjoy the scenery. We had reserved, front row seats of the pond, for our brunch. The food was outstanding, as usual, and lots of it. Don, our host, greeted each of his guests, with his usual, wonderful, smile and conversation. After brunch everyone sat around, or walked the many hiking trails. Interesting how much water there is, even looking into holes around the trees, you could see running water.

'Tops Up' for the cruise home, it was HOT! This, I think, is the first cruise to the gardens that no one had a car problem, that I'm aware of, unless they kept it very quiet.
