For the past three years it has been a pleasure to present the Car Art Show in the Sugar Pines Building during the Cruisin' in the Pines Car Show. It was a small dream to find another way in which car show goers could appreciate our marvelous American Classics. Turns out, it is a growing venue that has given me a whole new perspective on the art of automobiles. The first year I spent hours explaining the concept of the show to every artist I happened to see. I had to hunt down artists that I knew painted classic cars in one medium or another. They offered up art pieces to fill the building and the event began to take shape.

Last year, those who had participated that first year eagerly joined us again. This time they brought along friends and began spreading the word. Some folks who bring their cars to the show wandered into the art building. With eyes opened wide and smiles on their faces, they promised this year they themselves would be entering their artwork. Thanks and appreciation filled a comment box we put out during the show. Some participants tell us how much they enjoyed coming to a car show where they felt that the Roamin Angels truly appreciate the beauty that surrounds the concept of the automobile. All I know is that this small dream I had is growing and in that process it is also becoming a special part of my life-One that makes being a Roamin Angel a pleasure. It is a wonderful way to combine my two passions and share with others. It is simply the best!
