It was a beautiful evening and Roamin Angels filled the large hall at the Grass Valley Elks Lodge. Sheila and Karen greeted members at the door and gave them their member's packet with their members' cards and new roster. Dave G. sat nearby and gathered club radios that will be checked and synced together. The pizza arrived and the line formed. After everyone had had the chance to have their pizza, the board members each gave their report. Ron N., the outgoing Scholarship & Engine board member, gave a candid report of his tenure including an overview about the recipients of the past scholarships. George Muller presented his election committee and then announced the newly elected board members. Out of the 6 outstanding candidates in the running for the three open positions on the board, reelected were Edie H. and Ron C. and the newest board member, Mike C.. Then the Member of the Year was announced. Lynne F.l was the recipient of this year's award and her husband, Don F., accepted the award for her. Congratulations to our new and re-elected board members and also to our new Member of the Year! It was another informative and enjoyable Annual Meeting.
